7mm Lamb's Leap. A sheep learning curve.

You could possibly try scribing the roof to represent planking then paint it a wood colour. Then cover with tissue and distress it to show some wear once that has been painted to get an aged / worn effect as though the roof covering has torn with age ? I think 7mm lends itself to these sort of details.
If not sure about it maybe have a go on some spare plasticard first.

Looking forward to progress whatever you do.

Morning Grahame.

I agree. With regards to the detailing, I'm looking to adopt a few techniques from our military modelling friends and their approach to diorama building and weathering in general.

As such and very much by way of an experiment, I am also going to build a few military bits and bobs in 1/35th to see what happens.

Nothing too grandiose, just a return to a few favourite subjects.

I can see it now, not too long in the distant future ............. Rob, your Ovis aries 4mm related layouts are lovely .......... but now you have "dipped" into O gauge, I can see some layout related 4mm bahgains going up for sale on Ebah soon .... sorry, but as others have said ... you are now on the slippery slope, you can't climb back up it, once you have slid down it ;)

Best regards
Craig.

Evening Craig.

Maybe..........then maybe not. I still have layouts/projects that I would like to do in 4mm so all is not lost..........and I'm really quite fond of my three 4mm Cameos all of which could have extra bits/ details added.

As for 7mm? Well, I've ordered a Minerva open today so I'm looking forward to;

a. Receiving it.

b. Weathering it.

c. Probably ordering a modified Iron Mink straight after.

d. Weathering the Iron Mink.

And I've still got a 58xx to collect.......and a Toady to build........

As for the layout then I suspect it will start with the buildings.........

Don't forget the Minerva Pannier that you've been putting off buying for a few years...
