A little wander over to Kettering today for the G0G event. Good to talk to various folk including the Finney7 brigade, Heather (plus "Best Beloved"), Minerva Chris and Ragstone Andy.

I can now cross the T9 off the "to acquire" list and add it to the "needs building" list. Thanks to Richard and Stef for various hints and tips.

Dapol had their 45xx pre-production model there. Looked OK from what you could see through the glass case:

How I miss being able to get to exhibitions. Not that I ever went to to many.

I didn't do many at all last year.

I missed Stafford due to bust ribs, Kettering due to snow and Telford due to family commitments. I did help operate a friends layout at DEMU and went to the excellent Wells show for the first time though.

Trying to remember if I made Aylesbury. I was down to operate Black County Blues in the spring (Basingstoke?) but unfortunately we had to withdraw due to insufficient operators.

Although I was really torn about deviating so heavily from the prototype Bodmin North in this corner, I'm really glad I decided to build the wharf buildings. They fill an awkward void in the back of the layout, provide an interesting backdrop and offer a few nice little views IMO.
