A Dapol B-set for coach....A gift as well! I like the look of them so much in lined maroon that I altered the period of the layout to suit 'em! I was aiming to keep left of 1955 before they arrived....

The layout becomes more atmospheric by the day!
When I worked in Africa we had two expressions that seemed to justify our existence:
Hurry up and wait - Do what needs to be done then wait for a reaction
Wait and hurry up - When the reaction finally arrives the expectation is to deliver results "yesterday". Except by then the situation has changed.
I do find parallels with this in modelling, particularly as an on-line order takes at least 5 working days to arrive. By then I have moved on to another project. Which is why I seem to have too many projects on the go.

I think I showed how it can done earlier in the thread. There is separate super-elevation for Up and down tracks on my latest layout, but previously (in 4mm/00) I had both tracks on the same cambered cork base.

Replacing the errant point would have been done by now, but like you say, on-line orders can take some time to be delivered.
One thing I did today Paul was paint those three electric lamp posts (DCC Concepts) that you very kindly gave me last year. They are labelled 4mm but on comparing measurements with the lamp posts at Carrog, they are 7mm scale.

That’s good news, I have box of 4mm and 3.5mm scale lamps which I am sure can substitute for Moor Street. Interior lighting is the obvious location. You may need resistors for the lamps I gave you though if they weren’t in the packet they may not be needed.

A good example of Up and Down super-elevation at Warwick Parkway. The Mainline express from Moor Street to Marylebone is leaving for London, pushed by 68015. Warwick Parkway was built on a curve at the lower end of Hatton Bank. Most if not all Chiltern trains stop here but Cross Country and container trains don’t so the super-elevation is very necessary. The “gap” is significant and needs to be minded!

There is a board in with the lamps that has to be wired in. Electrics I avoid so I'll see what my trusty friend in Old Colwyn thinks about the whole set-up...
I have always found it interesting how the railways dealt with super-elevation when lines branched off inside and outside of curves. The Oldham Branch left the Standedge mainline on the inside of a really super-elevated curve and so the branch track dipped into the ground initially before rising again. It was accompanied by a speed restriction on trains passing onto the branch over the double junction. Real trains are sprung of course and so the carriages just swung about a bit, but it all looked like dodgy trackwork in model form!

Photos were taken after the path to the Up platform was grassed to see if things looked okay. After looking at a good number of photos, I painted the self-closing exit/entrance gate cream to make it stand out...
Some bushes will have to go in at the top of the path to help disguise the abrupt end where the bridge joins the backscene. The path is tapered to 'force' perspective....
