I shall be there one of the days - so you may wish to choose the other day :)) who else is going? (apart from Simon!)

I reckon I should be there on at least one of the days:cool:

Only joking!

Final tweaks taking place as the finely honed organisation glides steadily towards its objectives....

Or something like that:oops:

Should be a good 'un, the hall's out of action next year so this will be the last at St Margarets Hall for at least two years.

Simon

Currently seriously distracted as he has to rendezvous on the other side of Bath tomorrow am at 5.15am having been invited to spend the day on the footplate of some loco numbered 3850 on a branch line west of Taunton:D

I wonder if I'll get to shovel anything:))

Guv'nor, with luck the underframes should be assembled so will bring an example. Currently making up the cosmetic spring assemblies which has meant 36 profile milled J hangers, 36 profile milled shackles pinned in place, 36 turned 'rubber' dampers etc. Will definitely make one and get castings next time. Fortunately Williams Model's excellent 7ft spring castings are spot on and have been used for the leaves.
The bodies remain unassembled, mainly because I'm still trying to decide when/ how to paint them. Before glazing certainly, but not sure whether to spray them as individual sides and ends then assemble and touch up as first thought, or assemble then paint. First option seems easy enough on the face of it but can't help thinking the reality would be different with epoxy fingers and spoilt paint. The second option will mean waiting for the seat castings etc. and will make painting the inside bits harder. Much prevarication going on. Anyway, I'll bring an example side along. Probably Saturday?

I've just managed to persuade grandson to dog sit for me tomorrow so I can get over for a few hours in the earlier part of the day. You could bring your laser machine and I'll take it off your hands.:)

Its the 14th tomorrow, i don't think anybody will be there!
Assuming you make it in the 21st, will you be bringing some coaches? :)

Whoops - Thanks for the warning - I had marked Camrail down in error for this weekend a long while ago and hadn't bothered to double check. :)

I'll see if I can squeeze in a bit of work on the coaches in the coming week between the ongoing work on the goods shed. :)

Jim,

I'd appreciate it if you could bring your coaches - it'd be good to compare notes. I expect to have mine with me...

As of sitting down with the plan this morning I can confirm that everything that is invited does actually fit into the hall - phew!

Gerry Beale is "doing the books" on the Saturday, he is also the editor of MRJ 216 which is running a bit late but may/will hopefully be available for sale at the show.

Paul K very kindly put an ad for Camrail in this issue, so Camrail may be joining the select band of shows who have had their events advertised after the event:))

This is not a complaint or dig at WSP, I am extremely appreciative and grateful to Ann, Paul and June for their ongoing and support of both The Titfield Thunderbolt and Camrail.

There will be some space for a Thunderers "show and tell" area (hopefully inside the hall:p)

I have a lot of different jobs on at the moment, but if things go well this week and I manage a little wiring, ill bring the Western with boom box. I assume Steph will have a rolling road?
Simon, you will bring the Ruston won't you? ;)

Oh Lord, it looks as though I am going to have to do some serious work during the week if I have to demonstrate that I've moved on since the last report. :) The only problem is that the next development requires me to write my own Gcode (can't afford the £000's for suitable off the shelf software) and there's not much to show for that. :)
