 Very very nice!! Is it the Ratio chain-link fencing?
Speaking with my Lorrying* Hat on, I'd be inclined to turn the lorry around - it's far easier to reverse into places and drive out forwards afterwards.;) ... but that's just me noticing such things, sorry.

Actually Jordan's comment on the lorry was the first thing I thought too. Followed by would look better if the steering was angled as well.

A nice little scene though :)

Here's another area i've just worked on, the literaly twenty year trees needed a makeover as the middle one especially was looking a bit tired and thin, pic 1.

Pic 2, some stiff wire was pushed through to make a larger framework.

Pic 3, Woodlans Scenic's light green foliage was added with PVA glue to fill the areas out.

Pic 4, air laquer was sprayed on then medium green turf and then burnt turf was added, and sprayed lightly to hold.

Pic 5, dark green turf was added to the left tree and light green the the right one.

Nice grouping of bits and pieces in that yard, you have to watch that Jordan bloke, he's a bit of a geek on manoeuvering lorries and things. Told me I'd parked a trailer wrong once. He was right!

Any chance that you can tell us the value of the Footsie 100 from the newspaper over the knee?

Wonderful modelling:thumbs: I enjoyed the glimpsed J Bly wagon too - a real blast of nostalgia as it was the one Wrenn wagon I had back in the day.

The coal mine subject is interesting and the buildings and materials you have used and modelled certainly convey the feeling of such places to my eyes. I also think your figures are very well done, credible poses and all in believable groups and scenes. Certainly food for thought as I contemplate my Preiser/Tamiya "monsters" and how I might deploy them in the (G1) station that will hopefully get started this year.

Thanks Simon.

Re. Figures, you have to be carefull with their scale for example, usually OO/HO ones are underscale. I have about 100 figures in great poses but they are too small.
The two men at the bottom of the scaffold are Bachmann and are scale, but the three guys on the scaffold are underscale, this is not too noticable because of their position etc, but if I put them next to the other two guys you would see what i'm talking about.
