Heljan plugs & sockets

Where can I buy some “Molex” type 2-pin plugs & sockets , like the ones Heljan use to connect lights etc.




This thread specifies RS stock #670-7041, for the sockets but they don't appear to do them (or the plugs) any more. Trying to find them on Farnell's website without a manufacturers part number is a needle/haystack scenario.

Howes (Heljan UK) don't list them, so I e-mailed Heljan in Denmark and they told me "The minimum order is 10,000 pcs and terms of payment in payment in advance (upon receipt of order). Shippingcosts from China to UK will be added."

Any suggestions gratefully received....

I think that I have seen something similar within the last couple of weeks... maybe in a post from Cliff Williams.

I typed "radiospares 670-7041" into a search engine and got a page from RS-France with the description that the product was no longer being distributed. The page gave the Reference fabricant as 89400-0220 so I then typed "Molex 89400-0220" into a search engine and got text / pictures which seem to be appropriate to your query.

Please let me know how you get on because I need a handful of 2, 4 and 6 way connectors for the herd of JLTRT Cl.37s which seem to breed here.

Have a look on ebay - I got some from there for a very reasonable price. They did come direct from China, so did take ages to turn up, but the wait was worthwhile.

Are they exactly the same as the Heljan ones, and if so, do you still have the link? I need them to match up to Heljan sockets.

Alternatively, what did you search on?

I don't know if they have anything exactly the same as the ones that Heljan use, but if you measure those, the dimensions should help you pick out something suitable from this lot:

I've bought from both of those sellers and didn't have any problems.

Mine are 4 pin, 6 pin and 8 pin plugs and sockets bought in a huge quantity to get them made.
Price is getting set soon too as the invoice is in for the shipping.
