Hi
I'm interested mainly in 7mm, but what I would like to know. Has anyone got any info on china clay wagons ,I remember them becoming very white and filthy dirty but on the model side I haven't seen a train of these put together. Would look good behind a Western.
I know m&m models do a 5plank wagon but not sure if they are correct.
Any info much appreciated.

Hi Malcolm,

I have built about 5 Coopercraft/Slaters 5 plank wagons and altered one end ( well scratch built one end ) as some of the wagons had end doors.

I think these wagons were the nearest but not sure about how accurate. Here are a couple of pics.





I think they look ok and certainly when running behind a western in the garden i will be more than happy with the effect.
