Staying dry in Corris

It doesn't always rain in Corris. Today is the gala day, the weather is hot and sunny, Corris Station is as busy as I have ever seen it. Here are a selection of photos which give a flavour of the intensive timetable in operation today.

I like that nifty little O&K diesel!

Interestingly finished in the late DRG or early DB colour scheme for diesel shunters.

The O&K was built in 1957 and originally worked at a paper mill in Austria. After the mill closed it was bought by an Austrian preservation society who then sold it to a couple of Corris members as it became surplus to requirements. From Austria it headed to Romania for regauging and other work before coming to the Corris last year. It has a particularly 'fruity' V8 diesel.

Thanks for the potted history Neil. I presume it was originally 760 or 600 mm gauge?
