I thought I would share some of my photos of this event. These may not be the photos you would expect - they will, hopefully, show the detail modellers need. Piccies will be added as the ebvent goes on, The first ones are of the Q6 from underneath - I bet Hornby don't have this level of detail -

By the way, if anyone wants detail piccies of any Gresley/NER locos let me know and I will see what I can do over the next week or so.

Just a couple of photos tonight.

First one is a continuation of the Q6 theme - the inside steam reverer cylinder that is rarely, if ever. seen never mind modelled ...

And, for someting completely different, the cab interior of a Class 03 ...

Sorry about the quality - taken on my mobile late on.

Well, just got in after a very nice (long) day playing with big trains. Got a few pictures you may like ...

Notice the A4 'lurking' in the background ... not the star of the show this time around.

Obviously, as a primarily modelling forum, we need some 'research' pictures so, for anyone like me who has an A3 to put smoke deflectors onto, here are some detail shots showing the inside of the deflector and the bracketry (is that a word? ... it is now)

And now for the 'arty' shot ... :D

Hi, just noticed that the smoke deflector pictures only show the inside, so here is the outside of one of them so that someone can count all of the rivets

Now, just to prove I am not 'blinkered' (sorry, but it had to be said :D) here is a couple of shots of a certain diesel ...

The poor old thing was cleaned within a inch of her life but still was not the 'belle of the ball'.

One last line up picture ...

And lastly, a picture I hope will not be abe to be taken for much longer ...

Q6 and J21.jpg

The Q6 and the delapidated J21. Hopefully, the J21 will be going away to Kirby Stephen for overhaul to working order shortly so we won't see her in this sorry state for much longer. I know the people at the Stainmore Railway and she could not be in better hands than Mike Thompson and his gang.
