Hi members, I only recently discovered this great site for all things diesel. Up until now I've just been modelling 1950s /60s BR(S) and (W) steam, but have recently purchased a Heljan Class 42 and a JLTRT Class 22 kit, so I'll likely be looking for some guidance with unfamiliar things - like bi-directional lighting, Delrin chain drives, twin motors, etc. I always fit my locos for DCC sound where possible, and have just wired-in a Loksound XL to my Warship (still got the lighting to do). From what I remember from my spotting days (cycling from Bournemouth to Salisbury) in the late 60s, Howes of Oxford (satisfied customer) have reproduced the sound of a Warship to a tee ! Looking forward to checking out the Class 22 (ESU soundchip from Digitrains this time) at a later stage - gotta build it first but there always seems to be another job more urgent... Cheers! Russ B
