Rummaging through the back catalogue tonight, I found this made over Bachy 08 with Shawplan and Brassmasters bits and bobs from a couple of years back. Albion Yard is still extant and being used as a test track on occasion, hopefully after this weekend there may be a show confirmed next year where it'll be run in full BR Bloo!

An interesting arrival for the festive season. This year has seen some excellent RTR equipment land on retailers shelves, this and the Dapol 08 being close to the top for me. I've also been really pleased to see developments such as Modelu's and Coast Line Models excellent 3D printing, laser cut and etched goodies coming from the likes of Shawplan across the scales. Overall, I think it's been a good year for the hobby, here's to plenty more like it, and compliments of the season to the readers.

I've only seen pictures but these do look excellent. They seem to be the step up in quality others were promising and generally failed to deliver. This year has been a bit of a RTR shopping year for me with a whole Hornby coach being brought brand new! (I think that's a 100% increase on 2015! My local model shop is going to stop giving me coffee at this rate!

Stop looking at pictures of Albion Yard as they scream 'Forest of Dean' and are making me want to buy it... this is only a problem for 4 very good reasons:-

1. Lack of £££ :(
2. Lack of OO models
3. Lack of Space :headbang:
4. Far too much of SWMBO

SNAP!!!
I seriously doubt my SWMBO would let me buy another layout! But, . . . I wonder!?! No!
Gotta concentrate on what I've already got.
It is so pretty though!

Groaning inwardly.:) 4mm looks enormous compared with that and that caused me plenty of heartache. But I think was was just big fat fingers syndrome.

As a break from 2FS signalling I'm running in one of the Hattons/DJM 58xx's for my FoD planned project. I'm not a fan of the chassis and gear train drive system, in particular the 'slack' in this and the J94 from DJM. I can see a few of these getting a High Level chassis grafted to them which I think would make a very pretty little engine.

Thanks Adrian they certainly look like them. I notice on the vid he says that he is still working on a fix for the UK track as it has "CHAIRS" showing on the inside of the rail.

I'll check that out.
