Gosh, have I not finished anything since July:eek:. I have just bought a JLTRT Class 20 of Mickoo of this parish and a JLTRT class 45 from JLTRT and as a consequence I need to replace the cash I've just spent. So a frantic weeks modelling has resulted in a couple of completed items for flea bay.

First a PRMRP BDA wagon.

Second a Slaters LMS Brake Van in Engineers Livery.

And Last as seen before my PRMRP VDA.

Cheers

Very nice indeed JP, shame to see them go really ! It's all that time you do playing with te big train set that distracts from modelling time. Great to see you back posting mate, which are you starting first, the 20 or 45 and do you have in mind which engines you're building? Would you mind explaining the method used to paint and weather the roof on the LMS Van please

It's in the post LOL, but knowing the weather, may be delayed, despite paying extra to get it to your in two days :headbang:

I like the PRMRP wagons, they seem to be a tad more accurate than their locos in basic shape and form

Not sure what to spend the funds on, JLTRT 25/2 or 45 (Class 40 in box beside me begging to be started as are DA Jubilee and Princess) or something smaller, Jinty, MMP 08, Agenoria LWS/BR 0-4-0ST or other small tank engine, or maybe some PRMRP wagons LOL.

Must clear some real life out of the way and start something LOL.

Cheers Mick, I've been asked a few times by some of the inspectors to go for driving, however I've always resisted up until now. I've however decided that this is the year, so there will be less modelling from me this year as I've got a lot to learn, and hopefully I could be a driver by the end of the year.

The JLTRT moddels will be 20118 and 45150 both around 1987 condition.

The LMS Brake van has Railmatch roof grey on it, then cover with various light passes on the air brush with darker dirty shades and then a quick brush with some "black" weathering powders.

Not arrived yet Mick, had no post at all today.

I do like PRMRP wagons however they sometimes have a few scale errors.

Ouch nearly three feet to narrow that's an awful lot!

Sorry Mick I've made a idiot of myself there, had a bit too much red wine this evening. Its only about 2 inches.

LOL, I thought that was what you meant I.E. 2.8" that's not so bad, about 1.75mm error in width, if you'd not said I doubt I would ever have noticed to be fair, I tend to accept more of an error in rolling stock than I would a loco, strange how one has double standards depending on what stock it is, should all be the same really but it frequently isn't.
