Sparrows indeed! Silhouettes imported and cut in acrylic on a sprue, then lightly rounded off with a small needle file (that took some doing - I'm struggling to see!) and finally painting.

Sorry Jordan I'll leave the flying to others!

I've been playing with nettles, and this is probably about as refined as I can get them. Even so, they're a big labour-intensive, as every leaf has to be rotated to position.

There's not a tortoiseshell, but there is a marmalade elsewhere.......!



Each plane is made up of two of these, glued together down the stem - off-set, with the leaves then twisted level, and each pair rotated 45 degrees in opposition.
