I have now detailed the front of the D600 with lamp irons and hand rails. The head code discs have been ordered.

Still trying to find a Bachmann class 37 chassis (or Vi Trains). I thought about changing the wheels but upon ringing Ultrascale I found out there was a 6-7 month wait.

Dunno if this is of any help, Alan, as the front of the loco is entirely missing. I suspect this may have been the overhaul at which the split head code boxes were fitted, but I truly don't know that for a fact.

Funnily enough it looks as though you and Swindon are/were using the same body filler........

Now the room is back to being useable I thought I take a couple of snaps of a new addition to the goods yard......... a loading bank, bought from Ten Commandments whilst at the Manchester show. [I'd always felt that siding was too long as it did not allow vehicles to get to the crane further down the yard, and I've always disliked layouts where it seems impossible for traffic to get to where it is meant to be]. So I shortened enough to get the loading bank in and to be able to get vehicles out from the sidings. I still need to repair where the track was beyond the ramp.

Pity about the aerial shadows on the sky! Perhaps if you put them at the front of the chimney stack they would be less prominent.
Ian.

Ian, looking at the photos again I can only see one shadow. They were placed at the back of the chimneys so that they would be hard up against the back scene to avoid the shadow problem. A subtle bit of bending should sort out that particular aerial.

Alan, that was the one I noticed. I am not trying to be awkward your scenic modelling is so much better than I can achieve.
Ian.

No offense taken Ian. I'm happy that people notice things, it's all to easy to miss things oneself.

As a break from fiddling with diesels I thought it was about time I had a look at the boats in the harbour so this afternoon was spent adding a few tyre fenders and the first bits of weathering. I also tried a fender over one of the posts as you can see in the photos.
Before any one says anything at the moment there are no mooring lines. they will be the last things to be put in the harbour section.

Lovely modelling, Alan.

Is the "KE" trawler/fishing boat registration for Kingsbridge? You could always have a visiting boat with a "real" registration.......

You are correct That area of Devon should have a Salcombe registration, but I decided rule 1 applies and made up the Kingsbridge registration. Yes I have thought about adding say a Brixham boat

Actually there are shadows on all the areals some more than others, also on the chimney pots and stacks, but I wouldn't worry about it as it is really only noticeable I am sure Alan, with photographs, and only then when you really look hard. ;)

Lovely modeling ;)

Alan - you are totally correct and I admire the trouble you've gone to in creating a registration to suit your story. It's totally convincing.

I'm looking forward to seeing a "KE" registration when fishing in the South West.
