Hello from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia!

Hello out there!
My name is Simon and I am a 22 year old who has loved steam locomotives forever!

I have - until recently - mainly built WW2 fighter planes from kits and have become proficient in detailing and weathering. I've always stayed well away from electric model trains because of the cost, but I found a way to limit it! I have combined my love of detailing with the steam by making a medium-large sized diorama (1.8m x 0.9m) featuring a GWR pannier tank and some wagons.
I've posted in the question/queries section for some suggestions if you feel like helping me out.

I've been looking through some threads and I must say you lot are very excellent modellers and I am excited and humbled to be able to ask advice of you!

All the best,
Simon

Hello Simon! Welcome aboard!

We do like lots of photos, so make sure you take lots of them as your Railway modelling progresses. In fact, somewhere on the forum, where we do off topic stuff, you might like to share the photos of your plane models too. I know there's quite a few of the regular members - including me! - who still dabble.
