Looks as safe as houses, Alan, and a very neat job too if I may say so.
I too will be using brass to reinforce my roof along the gullies, as it will also have to withstand handling. In my case, I’ve joined two lengths of 3/16th tubing with 3/52nd tubing acting as a sort of biscuit joint inside the join. I ended up epoxying the join as my iron needs a new bit, but they seem up to the job. As I already had the thinner tubing, I went along to the model shop this morning to purchase four lengths of the thicker tubing. As is always the way, they only had three in stock; luckily I had a leftover piece lying around at home, but it’s shorter than the others. Hopefully once painted, no one will notice
