Hi Mike, there is a good chance that Chris and I will wander along. I will let you know later in the week for certain.

Well it's open now, Rob and Mike have already popped past to say hello. The Rob's A3 looked good in the flesh.

The only thing is they've put the Scale7 stand opposite JLTRT. So PW has been holding court for most of the morning right in front of the stand!

I have just got in from a cracking day at what is, a really nice show. Only a couple of layouts but lot's of trade stands and the all important test track.

It was good to meet Adrian and Cliff and another recent member to whom I have to appologise as I didn't quite catch his name but I do hope that he enjoys his Deltic:thumbs: and also to catch up with Mike and Warren.

The optimistic gents on the test track hitched the A3 up to 44 wagons and she sailed away beautifully. Quite surprisingly they let me run her for around half an hour or so  (I had expected a few laps at best). So I came away with a much inflated chest.

I also managed to pick up a bargain from the Bring and Buy stall (which overall was a bit sparse) in the guise of a Connoisseur LNER J71 tank complete with a Mashima motor and gears and some additional plungers pickups for the princely sum of £69

I can only confirm Rob's statement above, a great day out. Good to meet up with Rob and Chris again and meet Cliff and Adrian for the first time.

No bargains to be had for me, although I did buy four modules of the M&M Models rolling road + one of the cleaning modules, tested it when I returned to discover that one of the axles on the 33 is not working - a strip down is called for tomorrow:(:(:(

cheers

Mike

I too had a very enjoyable day at Leigh yesterday, thank you to Cliff, Lawrie and Adrian, I had a great time chatting to you all.

Hello Rob, it was me who spoke to you briefly whilst admiring my Deltic ;)

Look forward to meting you all again at future events, all the best Derek.

From a traders perspective it was a lovely show! Table was £40, Premier Inn £29 and only 600miles round trip for me.They gave me a mug and the Committee member came round at 2pm asking Saturday or Sundays best or future and are there any suggestions?
Then at the end the Committee came to thank me for making the effort!
You don't get that at Telford.
Telford is £160 per 6ft table and the hotel is £90!

A lot of interest in the Loveless Deltics I had there. By pure chance I made Derek's day which was my error. I picked up his Alycidon instead of my demonstrator Ballymoss, so when he saw it his face was a picture!

Great to meet Ressaldar, Rob and others.

Lots of growing interest in brass Mk1s, this may grow arms and legs for Lawrie!
Anyone for chocolate and cream / blue grey flush glazed Mk1s for circa £550 flush glazed sprung bogies etc?

Lee Marsh did well too his locos are crackers.
Found out I can still get a flying banana from Mr Riley, just need the interior for it.

DCC speakers went well, two gents looked me out, they told me they had been using the QSI HB157S speake, but like me cannot get anymore. They had got the new replacement from QSI but they said it was not the same, so they were pleased to buy my upgraded equivalent

Jim was doing a lovely job on the demonstration area with the LNWR full brake, very nice indeed!
We had a session at John Ryans on the Friday with the BRM lads and I got more footage of the layout so will pop it up next week
They are doing another 16page spread on his O gauge LNER mainline layout, type in over peover in youtube.

Thanks guys for popping by and saying hello, its nice to put more faces to names.

In all my excitement yesterday I forgot to mention Adrian's Siphon F, which looks every bit as good in the flesh as it does in his postings.

I also took time to admire his scratch built Y10 Sentinel which is quite exquisite :bowdown: It's one that's definitely on the list to have a go at myself in the future.
