On going meetings and discussions of the S7 group in the North East

Can't make this Saturday, as I'm away, but I notice that they are there on Sunday as well.

There were some thoughts about establishing a Gauge O Guild Group at Locomotion, it was in the Gazette earlier this year. Not sure if it has got of the ground yet, though.

Hi Simon,

No good for me unfortunately as it would have been a good day all round as you say. A few weeks notice would be better for me if possible please, just to sort child care and the kids etc

Not a problem guys, I had just changed my calendar and saw the show...

So if we are looking a couple of weeks ahead we should probably steer clear of 15th as this is fathers day... I cannot do the 14th so maybe the following weekend???

Having been prompted this morning by an email from Ken I thought it might be an idea to send an email to see if we can organise a date to meet up in the near(ish) future…

Mick has suggested meeting at Locomotion in Shildon, so we just need a date. I know the holiday season is almost here, but you never know…

So to throw some dates out there;

the short notice date - July 12/13 we could have this in Hartlepool as their exhibition is on this weekend.

More realistic dates; July 27th , August 17th , September 14th I chose Sundays, but not sure if this is the preferred day of the week.

None of these dates are set in stone and other suggestions are welcome, for example the RailNE Ex is on 23rd 24th of August, this could be an option but is farther north???

I look forward to hearing from you.

I was wondering if anything further had happened about this, although I do realise that everyone is busy.

I think I could make most of those dates, and I'd still like to get involved in any potential group.

I've recently joined Scale 7 group and would be interested - I'm in East Yorkshire near Beverley but, work and home allowing, can travel within reason! :)

Hi all,

Ok now I'm back to some kind of normality from other projects it's back into modelling. I've had a good look at dates and the only Sunday that looks good at the moment is Setember 14th. If you fancy James we could car share or something ? Thanks for the prompt Simon, let's hope it comes off as it would be great to have a group here,

I have just done a quick check and there does not appear to be anything specific on at Locomotion on that date.

Shall we say 10:30am meet in the coffee shop?

Good luck with the first meeting. Don't forget the S7 Group have some funds to help a group get underway, meeting costs etc. If you want some then please let me know what you want and what for and I will get it OK'd.

Had hoped to get to your first meeting to show you support and answer any questions from the group point of view. Unfortunately I have a family get together that weekend and to get up to Shildon is just a bit too far.

If there are any questions then let me know and I will my past to answer them for everybody but I know you are in touch with Graham a well.

Afternoon all,

It sounds like this group will be quite popular, obviously we welcome anyone in the area.

As to words in the next newsletter something along the lines of:

S7NE Group initial meeting is to take place at Locomotion Railway Museum Sunday 15th September at 10:30am in the coffee shop. The agenda will really be to discuss how we can move this group forward, plus anything else we bring up.
All modellers are welcome!!! Please send Simon Caygill an email to confirm attendance so we can keep people informed if things change. simon@caggers.com

Do I need anything else?
