Scattergun 08 Shunter Pictures

I am about to start building an 08 diesel shunter and despite spending ages searching photo sites finding it difficult to find a prototype to model.

What I am after is pictures of a loco between 1960 and 1964, green with wasp stripes, vacuum brakes only, flat bonnet doors with hinge straps, wooden cab doors, front ladders and LMR region London suburbs.

A lot to ask but any help would be gratefully appreciated.

David,

Certainly a useful information and will help to identify which loco to model. To refine this further I suppose I can search to see which engines were based at sheds in the North West London area at that time (possibly to find there are no relevant photos).

It is an MMP 7mm kit to go with other vehicles of the same period.

Many thanks,

Ken

Thank you SteadyRed also (see the Tank thread in a few minutes).

This afternoons information gathering seems to indicate I should go for D3271 (08201), D3304-6 (08324-6) but I have still to find the exact dates and if they turnout to fit, suitable photos.

I seem to have got down to D3304, D3305 and D3306 at Cricklewood, unfortunately none at Willesden at that time.

The only photo I can find is of D3305, based at Cricklewood, at St. Pancras several years later.

I suppose if there are no photos no-one can challenge you later to say you got it wrong. Certainly enjoying the research.
