Open 10am till 5pm both days.

The 2017 Uckfield Model Railway Exhibition will once again be featuring a selection of some of the best quality layouts around. There will be full trade support as well as Demonstration and Engineering stands. Licensed Restaurant within the Civic Centre will be open throughout the weekend. We hope to have bacon rolls for early arrivals to purchase.

Of the 16 layouts there will no less than 13 different scale/gauge combinations represented. Standard, narrow and broad gauge British, Continental and American prototypes.

Layouts expected to attend include:

Arun Quay - 7mm/ft scale 31.2mm gauge (Finescale 0)
Debut of Gordon and Maggie Gravett's new layout as a finished article portraying a small Sussex quayside - MRJs 239 & 245.

Denton Brook - 7mm/ft scale 32mm and 14mm gauges (0 and 0-14)
New layout by Giles Favell, creator of The End of the Line, featuring radio controlled vehicles including a mobile crane - MRJ 256.

Bridport Town - 7mm/ft scale 16.5mm gauge (0-16.5)
Terminus of the narrow gauge Marshwood Vale Railway by David Taylor, Devon - RM Dec 2010 and NG&IRM Review 81.

Trowland - 1:64 scale 0.884in gauge (S)
Fictional Midland & Great Northern Railway 1890s North Norfolk coast terminus by Trevor Nunn, Oxfordshire.

Sidmouth - 4mm/ft scale 18.83mm gauge (P4)
Portrayal of the BR (SR) 1950s East Devon branch line terminus by Richard Harper, Bedfordshire - MRJs 242 & 243 and RM Jun 2017.

Surrey Arms - 4mm/ft scale 18.2mm gauge (EM)
New 1950s BR (SR) inner city terminus layout from Stephen Hannington, the builder of the award winning layout Rye Town.

Valencia Harbour - 4mm/ft scale 21mm gauge (00-21)
Great Southern & Western Railway Irish broad gauge terminus from Andy Cundick, Wiltshire - BRM Aug 2014.

Tarring Neville - 4mm/ft scale 16.5mm gauge (00)
New layout from Andy Jones of Herstmonceux fame making its debut after featuring as a work in progress at last year's show.

Six Quarters - 4mm/ft scale 16.5mm gauge (00)
Cumbrian National Coal Board Industrial cameo DCC layout by Oly Turner, Kent - debut exhibition.

Moorton Bottom Yard - 4mm/ft scale 9mm gauge (00-9)
Roth Valley Tramway 1930s urban narrow gauge scene by Paul Windle, Yorkshire - RM May 2007.

Wiley City - 3.5mm/ft scale 16.5mm gauge (H0)
Rare appearance of the Yakima Valley Transportation Co. tramway layout by Andy Gautrey, Warwickshire - CM Mar 2012.

Villefranche-la-Chapelle - 3.5mm/ft scale 16.5mm gauge (H0)
Multi level 1990s French shunting yard layout by Graham Broad, Surrey - CM Sep 2016.

Wimblehurst Road - 3mm/ft scale 14.2mm gauge (3mm/ft finescale)
Colonel Stephen's might have been through station by Stephen Driscoll, Surrey - second exhibition.

Ropley
- 1:148 scale 9mm gauge (British N)
Exquisite portrayal of the current preservation scene by Tom Everitt, Hampshire - recently pictured in MRJ 249.

Stapleforth St Stephen's - 1:148 scale 9mm gauge (British N)
Freelance continuous run layout portraying the mainline scene 1995 to the present time by Mike Hughes, Hampshire.

Lighterman's Yard - 2mm/ft scale 9.42mm gauge (2mm/ft finescale)
Late 1950s early 1960s South East London inner city scene by the Kent & Essex Area Group of the 2mm Association.

Roxey Mouldings - finescale locomotive, carriage and wagon kits in 4mm and 7mm scales

South Eastern Finecast - 4mm scale locomotive kit manufacturer now including the Nu-cast range



Public access to the Civic Centre is via either the free High Street car park (Civic Approach), or the Tesco Superstore. The venue is also only three minutes walk away from both the railway and bus stations.

Additional car parking at the station car park - £2 per day at weekend.

I will be making the trek, looks like a good show especially looking forward to seeing the Gravetts latest layout.
