A Nice Little S7 Layout

Clutch release bearing is moaning,( gear box out job:shit:) and although it's drivable I didn't fancy going too far from home.
Apparently the videoturned out b/w due to a "ton" of digital noise, I don't understand these things but other's of you may.
The layout deserves to be featured somewhere, perhaps MRJ ? when it's finished, as it's obviously still work in progress in small area's.

Hi Colin

With an iffy clutch, I think you did the right thing with regard to a long car journey.

I don't understand the technicalities of video either, but it was good to see even if it was b/w, especially for those who couldn't make the show.

I certainly hope it gets published one day soon too.

Hi Colin

I believe the signal box and station building are laser cut jobbies - much better than using the embossed Slater's stuff. ;) I'm not sure about the brickwork on the bridge and forgot to ask. I hope this layout makes a few more exhibition appearances, as I'd really like to see it again. :)

I was surprised not to see you and JB there, but hope you get your car sorted.

Nice bit of video, but a shame it was black & white.

Lovely photos Dan. One or two would look very nice in the Newsletter... (hint)

That video went up and down faster then a er....."This video has been has been removed by User".

Excuse me for asking the obvious but does S7 have a separate group from GOG?

Best, Pete.

Possibly......
Rather something else than total conversion. I have my eyes on the 08 that Dapol claim to be producing.

Best, Pete.

PS Apologies for being a newb idiot! I just read the appropriate Forum..... Afraid I'm a sucker for hitting "What's New?" type button on the 'web...

Thanks Richard - I was pretty pleased with them, but I saw Heather Kavanagh wandering around with a "proper" camera, so it might be better to ask her! :)

Dan

Thanks Dan. Heather has already supplied me with some lovely shots of Hemyock at least one of which will be in the next Newsletter.

Hi Dan ;)

Can i just ask ?, Is the station building a kit or scratchbuilt ?. :D

Steve

Hi Steve

I'm pretty sure the station building is one of Brian Lewis' (ex. C & L), "Timber Tracks" laser cut jobbies. I think the signal box is laser cut too, but I believe it's from a different manufacturer.

Julian,

I remember Wyebridge High street very well, it made such an impression on me due to it's simplicity and high standards - so much so I actually kept the BRM mag (Sep 2003) that it appeared in. I presume that it has moved on to make way for the "new" Wyebridge, which, judging from the photo's is equally superb. I do hope that I will get to see it in the flesh!
