Really I think the only thing gained by removing the motherboard is the part that sticks out either end, which is about 3/16" either way. Now of course when things get this tight, every little bit counts. But I think I can fit everything in anyway, with a bit of ingenuity and dumb luck. If not, I'll try something different.

We posted at the same time, more or less. My last post suggests I'm fine with things as is, which is generally true. However, I'm always on board with implementing more elegant solutions. So if there's something to be done with PCB's and it's something I could handle as a novice, then I'm willing to explore.
