Prototype Blue Spot Fish Van - SPV

On Saturday we had a ride out to Tanfield Railway and amongst the many interesting wagons was a Blue Spot Fish van/SPV. Since there has been quite a bit of interest in these over time I thought is worth while taking a few detail photos to share. - Hi res shots on my flickr site.

Thank you Rob for posting these photos of a van with BR brake rigging... any chance of a similar set of pikkies for a van with LNER brake rigging (as per Diagram 800)?

I have some questions about this photo which Robin posted above:-
Blue Spot from Rob Pulham.jpg

The picture shows what I think is a vacuum pipe to the (our) left of the coupling hook - can anyone confirm this opinion?

The picture shows what I think are fixings for a second pipe to the right of the coupling hook - what was fitted here?

Anyone know of a similar picture which shows the pipes in place and how the pipes are fixed to the vehicle?

thank you, Graham

Does it have to be an SPV or any any LNER vac braked van do?
A late design LNER van with vacuum brake may well provide an answer to my first question.
Have a look through the Pipe wagon photos that I have just posted in the gallery. Not an SPV but similar pipe arrangements
As to my second question... unless the diagram 800 vans were fitted with air-pipe connections late in life then the second pipe (if that is what ought to be to the right of the coupling hook) is, presumably, a steam heat connection and hence the BR pipe wagon is not going to help (interesting as it is that the pipe wagon is vacuum brake with a through air pipe).

Paul Bartlett's site has a photo of E87893 with what looks like a second pipe with the fitting painted silver, which is (I think), the pipe fitting colour for a steam heat pipe.
