Just to bring the story up to date, after the bathtub returned with the Nobbler, an hour later than its booked path, services on the Cambrian Coast have returned to normal. The mails are now back in the hands of Derby type twos. At this time of year only the first fraction of the journey from Pwllheli to York is conducted in anything approaching daylight. Here somewhere north of Morfa, the weak, late afternoon sun catches the parcels on the first sector of its journey.
