Converting a Loveless Duke of Gloucester to S7

Hi Bernard,
It's not one I've converted as yet, I do have one in my possession so I can have a measure up and see if there are any issues.
The problems that can arise with outside cylinder loco's is having enough clearance behind the slide bars and cross heads to clear the rods. especially with narrow gauge F/S  :D models.
All well and good if the model is built to scale but if the manufacturer has 'buggered' the dimensions across the centre line width of the cylinders to suit the narrower gauge it compounds the problem. If this is the case then it's a no-go, which is one of the reasons I'm not keen on a scale gauge of 32mm that is not fine !

It will require new axles as the originals won't be long enough to re-gauge the wheels, these can be re-profiled.

Many thanks.

Shall I ask again in about a month to give you a chance to evaluate the possibility of conversion?
