I don't know what it is like in your neighbourhood at this time of year , but where I live the first two weekend evenings of November sound like WWIII has started. The sound of money burning 
! I got home last night in the middle off it with dead fireworks raining down from the combined 'displays' . I picked up a couple then, and then today on a trip to the corner shop I picked up a bundle more on the way back .
After removing the 'heads' I had three basic sizes of sticks or tails . Roughly :
6.5mm sqr by 800mm long,
5.5mm sqr by 600mm,
4.5mm sqr by 350 - 400mm .
So now what to do with them ? Will I find any more tomorrow ?
Initial thoughts are a wagon load or fencing maybe, in Gauge 3 they work out at roughly 6, 5, 4 inches square . As they used to say , ideas on a postcard to the usual address .
