From West Australia again!

G'day from WA.
I've just joined again apparently my membership ran out through lack of postings.
I've been busy been in the UK for six weeks spent a couple of days at Telford the rest of the time in London baby sitting.
A few changes on my home layout the BRHRR and I am building a portable layout called "The Scrapyard" all this is O scale 1/48 American.
Good to see you all again.
Neville.

Hi Neville....again:)

Just to clarify for everyone, it's not the number of postings - any member who doesn't visit the site in the previous 6 months, and who has a zero post count, has their membership withdrawn as a house-keeping exercise.

I do hope you will post your layout work here - the pace of your progress is astonishing.

Thanks Richard and Steve.
I am building a new layout or a second O scale layout, I should say, called ..
"The Scrap Yard"......... A study in rust, junk and decay.
I will snap some photos in the next few days and post them on a new thread they will be new photos that have never been posted anywhere else.
A Question. How do you put a "Me" photo into the square on the left of the message, I tried but failed.

Welcome Neville :)

For your 'Me' pic, in the top right corner of the page you can see your name, hold the mouse pointer over that and it should reveal a drop down menu - click on 'Your Profile Page' (at the bottom of the white band).

When in your profile page, you should be able to click in the box where your Me / Avatar picture will appear and a pop-up screen will appear where you can load up the photo / picture that you would like.

I'm being patient but nothing is happening I'll try again tomorrow when I'm not tired.
Also everytime I want to post a message I have to log in is this normal or just for new members.
We have just had a massive thunderstorm today maybe the computer is damaged before I switched it off.
More likely just the operator!
Sorry to be a pain.
Neville.

Welcome back, Neville

I remember being impressed with your posts the last time around. I'll drag up a soft chair and prepare to enjoy seeing how you get on ...

Neville -when you log in you should see somewhere a couple of option boxes saying 'keep me logged in' or 'log in each visit'. Should do the trick! Is 1/48 more popular than 1/43 in Oz?

Tony.
To be honest I would have to say it's on an equal basis.
I live in West Australia and don't know anyone else that models in USA 1/48 scale.
The local club has a 7mm English layout.
In the East of Australia the Victorian modellers who model the Victorian Railways (in the state of Victoria) model in 1/48 the New South Wales modellers model their railways in 7mm so I'm afraid like our prototype track gauges we are all different!
And of course I model in American 1/48 have done for close to 30 years.
This is my indoor layout that I have been working on for twenty years.
See Plan. (if it comes out!)
Nev.
