The painting & lining is a credit to you Warren. All PAD's hard work has been handsomely decorated.

Regarding milled coupling rods, I think there is a chap in Cheshire that does them. Builder Geoff Holt used to obtain them.

Saw this up close yesterday, it does look rather good

Its always worth a visit to Warren's to see all the goodies going through the paint shop. When you see his work in the flesh it really is better than the photos. I must get my finger out and strip down the two 2 6 4s for painting, otherwise the 11F will be away to the customer and I won't get to see it. :'(

Hi. I wanted to get a picture and or video put on here sooner and have finally managed to, with the ‘Director’ out for its maiden run on Friday night. It was superb, never missing a beat for over 2 hours. It turned a few heads, and may even have got a few people liking these GCR locomotives?

Fantastic piece of work, well done and thank you

Hi Mat,
I don't come here very often these days so only just spotted your post. Zeebrugge looks very nice in such a realistic setting. I'm glad to hear that you are pleased with the build and it ran really well over a 2 hour period even with very simple under pinnings. It was enjoyable to build and Warren's artistry has turned it into a really handsome engine.
Cheers,
Peter

Hello, I wanted you to know that it’s valued and appreciated. I understand the time and effort that goes into a build. Sometimes simplicity is beneficial. I did have some “better” rods, for example, which I had not realised until it was completed that I had not included. Anyway, they can be put to use in another.

You are exactly right too, that Warren’s “artistry” really helps finish it off. His skills are second to none and I recommend him to everyone who asks.

Many thanks again.

Mat
