These are some photographs of small Dutch HO shunting layout along a harbour which I built several years ago before moving up to O scale. The buildings are Artitec as is the modern harbour wall. The brick harbour wall is Wills sheet. I was was trying to see if I could model a tidal harbour. The silt along the harbour wall was built up from polyfiller with drainage channels cut in. The water was stippled PVA over a painted base with feathering to simulate depth and a coat of gloss varnish to finish.

Very atmospheric Dave, has that deserted Sunday afternoon feel about it, I do of coarse have a biased interest in harbour /dockside style layouts (Bow Creek when it gets there:rolleyes:)

I particularly like the Harley's mate :thumbs:, a bit of younger self there :D,.....yes I have been to Holland.
