Afternoon all ,I have today joined to keep in touch of the now ex Guild members with whom I have had many conversations .Interests are Southern from when I remember as a kid being taken to Paddock wood and first saw Spam cans .Great western from same period holidaying in West Country and finally LNER being taken to the viewing platform at Finsbury Park watching everything that emerged from the Cross .
I model what I find interesting and to relive my enjoyable child hood .
Have a layout I built of what Westerham in Kent might have become had it been preserved .
So can run essentially what I fancy as it’s preserved but predominantly pre ,grouping and post Southern with visits by great westerns and LNER .
Looking forward to interesting conversations .

Hello Len!

Lots of modelling here, though it's been a bit thin on the ground from me of late. I can't seem to get into the swing like I used to.

Anyway, we like to see photos. It's our main unit of currency, so when you start a thread on your doings, make sure there are plenty of images to accompany it.

Morning everyone,Len Jones who has just joined is one of my close friends and near neighbours.As he has joined i decided that it would be a good idea to join him here and allso keep up with former guild members.I am a long term LNER follower and i model the Eastern Region in the mid 50s with a bit of BR thrown in as well.Space does not allow a layout but 11 ft of test track above my bench soon to be expanded allows a little bit of playing trains.
Heres looking forward to joining in on here.

Hi Pat
1 go to the top of of the forum page
2 click on your name top right side first column
3 select AVATAR from the drop down list
4 select BROWSE from thst list.

This will lead you to where your pictures are stored. But you will need to make the pictures the right size (200 x 200 pixels) to be accepted as AVATAR. So you will need a photo editor to do this with.

5 press OKAY

Yes Les Len and i will be there with our other 0gauge modeler friend Alan.Well will be stocking up for the summer modeling season that hopefully will keep us going till Reading show in dec.It doesnt look like any of us will be doing Telford and i am not going to the large scale show in april so this is my only chance to stock up! Hope to meet up with you at Kettering.

Hello all.I have againt tried to post a photo onto my avatar and the same message has appeared that the photo is not valid.What do i do now ? I am only using a Samsung tablet both to take the photo and to use this forum so i am now co pletely stymied as to what happens now.
