You couldn't make it up......

Just before lunch, Roger uses some 'water' liquid from GreenScenes to make a puddle. Very proudly and with no little surprise, he announces he has created a puddle. ;)

Sometime after lunch his puddle had disappeared.

After some investigation we realised Allan, head of groundcover, had followed on and had filled in the hole, losing the puddle :)

Such is progress.

Anyway, the layout is back together ready for tomorrows running session, so for the first time in a few weeks, we can see what has progressed, and what we have left to do. I should have some photos tomorrow.

Richard.
very nice. Where are the tanks from? I need a range of mixed tank wagons for my tank train (to be pulled by a Green 37).

I'm not sure if it's just me, the video or actually a wobble on the fourth tank in the first video.

Looking forward to seeing Heyside again at Telford. I just need to see if I can sneak away from the demo table often enough!

Richard,
thank you. I am now thinking of a mix of the Heljan model and the soon to be released Lion Heart model for the train, with one or two earlier types mixed in. The photos that I have show a very mixed bag of wagons in the train; all appear to be 'black' with just running numbers.

************** Heyside Job Opportunity *************

Hi Folks,

Heyside has been invited to the BRM show at Doncaster over the weekend of February 13/14 2016.

Due to an unfortunate concatenation of circumstance, we are going to be 2 operators short.

A number of you are familiar with/have played with the layout and know the crew. Does anyone fancy a weekend away helping us run it.

You will be required to get yourself there and back, though depending on your location, a lift may be available.
You will have to pay for your evening meals.
Accommodation is provided Friday and Saturday (twin bed rooms), as is breakfast and in-show refreshments.
You will not be required to operate the panel.
DCC familiarity helpful, but not essential.
The layout is designed to be easily operated; essentially, all you will be required to do is drive the trains to the signals.
You would be welcome to visit beforehand to familiarise yourself with the operation, but this is not essential.
One hour on, one hour off throughout 2 days.
Heyside T-shirts available at very reasonable prices:)

Anyone seriously interested, please PM me.

Thanks.

Hi

I'm back off my holidays, so a clear run to Telford now. We had a working day today - in fact the Heyside room is the coolest place in the house, so it was not too hot.

Roger brought along his completed Stanier tank, one of the missing locos in our fleet.

and 2 shots in front of our new retaining wall.

We also had the first doorstep pinta deliveries.

OK, a wee bit clean, and we need some milk crates etc, and the figure needs tidying up, but it's a very nice model built by Roger.

Cheers

You know, of all the vehicles you could excuse being very clean, milk floats are about top of the list. I've seldom seen a dirty one. Looks lovely.

... and the figure needs tidying up
Or rather "and the figures need tiding up"...

The two ladies are some of the most convincing characters that I have seen on a layout so I am at a loss as to how they might be improved. As for the milkman, brilliant and shows just how smart he could be with his fresh laundered coat.

regards, Graham
