Well one post might open the door to so many questions.

It prompted me to learn more about the Railway Clearing House's wagon standards - component drawings being first provided in 1903.
I wonder what the 1903 wheels looked like.....

I don't have copies so don't have all the details but Richard wrote a series on early wagons in the Gauge O Guild Gazette from around 1997, and another in the HMRS Journal around 2011.

Mike Osbourne very kindly sent me this drawing of a LNWR roofless cattle wagon if you look atMikes posts on rmweb you can see his model (think I have a bit of a challenge in front of me )
