BR Engineering Dept have been busy for the past few days rebuilding and strengthening the road bridge. Jordan rightly pointed out that this was structually unstable, now major beams have been inserted into the supports to hopefully rectify the problem.

That is looking really good :thumbs:
Agreed!! I particularly like the way you've resisted the temptation to run the front siding the full length of the board, in this picture;

There's a good sense of 'space' around that area, as the siding stops short of the buildings. :thumbs:

Thanks for your comments. I hope this might encourage others to try a small layout.

For people with my level of ability the main problem is going to be the reduced availibity of RTR or easy assembly stock.
I hope Slaters increase their range of 1:32 stock also it would be good if Parkside could do some of theie 7mm stock in this scale.

I am now starting to add ballast and  basic scatter to the boards. Progress is a little slow but am working my way along the boards (the end is in sight) :D  :D  The photos have been  taken before a cleanup of the loose ballast.

Ballasting is a task I loath utterly and put off as long as possible..!! However it always transforms the look of track, and looking at your's here, I can't help contrasting it (especially the pointwork) to the likes of Peco OO/HO Code 100... which just looks so crude in comparison, not least because of the wrong sleeper spacing!!
Very nice work indeed- the graffiti 'dates' the layout now, even without any stock in view !! :lol: :lol: :thumbs: :bowdown:

I can see that ok and Im on the case with the images  ;D

Imported photobucket images only seem to show after you have selected 'modify' and re saved, I donk know why but its not a recurring issue.

As all the major work has finished on the layout, I am just playing around with the details hoping to give an impression of life.
The following are a few pictures of the inhabitants of the town.

Hi John, not sure if this went any further as you sold me your 03 a while ago. The photos etc have disappeared from the pages so cannot view it anymore.

Hope all is well
