It was a 1949 Triumph Roadster or..

a gauge 1 (1/32) garden railway. I chose the latter as drinking and driving a Roadster is frowned upon.
I'm a grade A novice to my new hobby (not too clever on computers either) but I've spent a year with books and on line researching the old railway my house overlooks (the former Strathmore Route twixt Clocksbriggs and Auldbar Road stations).
So far I've managed to lay 100 metres double track around the (sloping) garden - having to bridge the lane to the house with two gates with track on top (on a curve 5ft above ground - hair raising).
It's 1965/6 and Kingfisher and Bittern are steamed and put in charge of 'The Bon Accord' and 'The Grampian'. So after almost 50 years the Glasgow Buchanan Street - Aberdeen expresses glide past Rescobie Loch once again. There's a Perth based Black 5 (bprc) awaiting fish vans - going to be waiting a long time as I'm useless at building (scratch or kits) and will probably be on mixed freight duties as rolling stock becomes available. Being a newbie I tell you now I could be asking you kind people many questions re what I'm doing wrong.
Question 1. why do I keep getting the message 'file to large for the server' when trying to get pics on here?
Life is too difficult - I just want to watch the trains go by.

Welcome, and I'll be fascinated to see your pictures when you can upload them.

Bit don't ask me about file sizes! I faff around them when I have to, but don't really understand how! No doubt a member of the Flying Squad will sort this out for you.

See 'Posting Conventions' thread under forum Q&A. I suspect you are trying to post too large a photo(s). The last post on that thread gives guidance as to photo size.

Welcome to the forum - your 1/32 garden railway sounds great.

Welcome. A nice lineside feature might be a 1:32 Triumph Roadster, but although there have been some nice models of them, I've never seen one in that scale!
