Scattergun Loco's On The Move

There is one over here (UK) in private ownership, it has been on the Leighton Buzzard railway and has also visited the Somme, but lives in the owners garden where he has his railway. He has built a station in the fashion of the Darjeeling too. They are now considered historic and are sort of listed, like buildings, so there will be no more 'escaping' from India.

It is the one that is in private ownership, living at The Beeches Light Railway. A DG 'B' Class.
If you look at the cab you'll see that it has been razed up as the owner is over 6ft tall. He also has 2 replica DG coaches and a USA saloon car.

DHR B19 certainly fits into the 'Locos on the move' category. In September 2011 it was running on the Ffestiniog Railway and seemed to cope with the gloom and torrential rain.

Somebody knowledgeable will be able to tell us how long it was there for.

I have seen D2989 on the move today, on the back of a lorry. I saw it on the A42 west bound just after the M1 junction. It had no engine in it.

Just looked on the t'internet, It was at GCR L/Boro.

Sorry no picture, as i was driving at the time :(

Anyway, regardless of if you actually listen or not, you'll still get a mention when you've piled into something else because you were train spotting on the motorway... :p

I drive very carefully now, after an accident a couple of months ago, where i wrote my mrs Audi A3, off !!

Spotted....

An industrial shunter on the back of a lorry travelling through Staveley, Derbyshire, coming from the direction of Barrow Hill. It was a faded blue in colour, with the name 'Kerima' (I think).

Does anybody know if it was at Barrow Hill ?, & where it might be going ?. I was driving at the time, so no pics, sorry. I was travelling to Barrow Hill to have a nosey, on my tacho break !.

Not going for scrap rebuild time me thinks. I am sure someone has purchased some of these locomotives for further use
