• Biggest disappointment

The inability to reproduce some reasonable 1/32 chairs and therefore trackwork, and coming round to the idea it is outdoors only.​

• My favourite model built

Not quite finished, but D1000, loving the Desert Sand​

Completed in 2012? Nothing of importance.
Biggest disappointment? Not starting on our "big project".
Favourite model built? A MMP Dogfish which is being built by Peter.

That's quite a year!! Any chance of a "year end gallery"

As for me:

• Completed in 2012 - choosing Scale7 and sticking to it!
• Biggest disappointment - long stretches of time away from the bench.
• My favourite model built - not finished but I am very pleased with my 517;

Completed in 2012 - Slaters PMVY wagon, Numerous Minerals wagons (Ex Triang / Big Big), thanks to Lancer1027 Rob. & 3 Express parcel wagons from Slaters (Ex Blue spot fish vans).

Biggest disappointment - Not finding enough time to do a lot more on my workbench.

Favourite model made - Think this is the RTC Departmental Generator van (Ex Blue Spot Fish Van) which still needs transfers finishing.

I would love to see a 2012 gallery from Cynric as well ..........

& with this in mind, here's my 2012 'Little Shop of Horrors' gallery

2012 started with me doing the final bits & pieces to GFYE Hymek D7013.........





& was followed by the Westdale 121, which off & on has taken more or less all of 2012 to finish .......



as a distraction, when frankly I had lost interest in doing the 121 I also did these two .





The back end of the year was spent doing these two MK1's, before going back to the 121 .





Now that the 121 is finally finished , I will probably be making a start on the Westerns early in 2013 with a view to having both in service in the 2013 Withercombe summer timetable

I cant show a lot of it because they are either commercial properties/developments or for commissions. Tbh there isnt much interesting about yet another Blue western or Fruit D...... there are some Catfish kicking about somewhere and there are still two here to finish.

Phill thats a nice selection, as a snapshot it captures the very early seventies, without actually telling anyone what the date is

Sound fitted to D6319 and loco put back together. 48DS "dietz" sound & chipped. Multimaus Pro bought and set up in garden.



Lamp hut for outdoor layout.



S&D conversion of Slaters van.

Manning Wardle "Spitfire".



First signal (still not painted)



BR brake van all but finished.



New chassis for 28A well on way.



In retrospect quite a good year (by my standards) I have also started a "Fruit D" and successfully cast Rich Brown's 7mm LBSC wagon in resin.

Biggest disappointment is no new pointwork and hardly anything achieved on the Garden line.

Plus not progressing the 122 cab in resin project.

I'm most pleased with the Manning Wardle which represented several modelling "firsts" for me.

Good to see lots of things being made and finished
An old boy said to me many years ago "you can count all the rivets you like, but you have to know when to draw the line and build the damn thing" also known as 'paralysis through analysis', and that is what I have tried to move on from this year.

4 transits converted from mk1 to mk2 (sorry dont have a line up of the finished ones.)

2 of these rebuilt from the matchbox toy. (the toy is the RM one)

Several class 50's

A GWR railcar

A couple of class 85s

Several HST power cars and several class 86

a lot of track weathered
