NBL Type 2 Class 29 Built by Fred Phipps in Gauge 1,1/32nd

Hello All
Fred Phipps (he of Caradoc models)  has emailed me some images of his finished Gauge 1 1/32nd Class 29 and what a beauty she is
Fred has done D6119 from a kit he has designed himself. The kit is available from the range of Gauge 1 locomotives that Fred has produced along with a Warship and a Class 22. Certainly floats my West Highland line interests.
Regards
Mr TV

Very nice!! The yellow ends above the cab look a bit strange though - I thought they went up over the edge of the roof?
On the other hand, I don't doubt that Fred will have done his homework on this..!!

The class 29 looks superb, just wondering if it can be built as a class 21?
Yes. But you need to specify this when ordering, as it affects one or two of the minor (and not so minor!) details.

It's not a 'standard' treatment compared with other classes, but it's usual for a 29 in the way it stops short (look also at the cutaway as the windscreen angle meets the nose proper). Most of the handful that were done in blue had the ends done like that, D6107 was one that didnt but it was also unusual (for a 29) in having 'proper' (rounded) number digits

Some Scottish 20s were also done with 'short' full yellow ends, which didnt wrap round the sides of the nose at the bottom
