I'm just about to re start these NER Hoppers there will be ten in all .They were probably never seen on the LNWR but hey ho
I know that a few of you wanted a copy of the drawing that I have if you let me know ill try to get a copy to you
Here's the original photo that Heather took
These two are almost complete .The floor that comes with the kit is incorrect so I have made a new floor for the next two They do make up into a rather nice model and I hope that they capture the rugged feel of the prototype
they look really great. how have you compensated them?
Hi Marc these were sprung like this but I now have some etched W irons for the next ones So they should be free running
Thank you for your comments
This is how I do the bolts
So that's the bolts on the inside of the wagon ?
The weathered wagon at the top looks great.
Cheers Richard yes they are the bolts on the inside
Interesting. would make refitting wagons easier. I have fitted slaters rocking sub frames to most of my GER opens but have a lot of wagons that that is not an option.
It is quite a good way of doing it as you don't have to disturb the W irons etc
Hi John , most of the good ideas are simple and that springing system is very good , well done .
I got them from Mike Osbourne a few years ago I'm not sure where he gets them from
A bit more progress still guide a bit of work to do
