Oops! I posted the following on someone elses new member post!
Well... I signed up to the forum about a week ago, so I'd better introduce myself. My name is earl King and I have been modelling railways for over 45 years. I started with the good old triang and soon progressed to early Hornby Hornby/Rovex (remember Super 4 and System 6 track?). Over the years I have modelled in OO, OO9, OON3 (three foot narrow gauge using Triang TT items of stock and locos but with 4mm cabs put on the locos and adapted OO items such as Slaters coach sides etc), 7mm narrow gauge and O guage!
I am actively modelling O and OO with an O gauge shunting layout in the shed, which I have half built, and also modelling OO with my club - The All Rounders MRC. I enjoy building kits (you have to in O scale) and I still have several old OO Ks' loco kits which either need rebuilding or assembled. I have put my forum name down as Lightman as I like the light railway/anything goes/make do and mend type of railway! Just to say, I am not a rivit counter! Cheers and Happy Modelling to everyone. (I hope this goes into the correct section) Lightman

Thanks Heather, I recognise your photo from another forum site. I shall be having my daughter take some photos in due course. I joined this site do to good comments from people and it seems to fit my modelling tastes very well. Cheers, Lightman
