Hi Gang,

My name is Keiran Ryan, Thank you for allowing me to be part of this forum, I am from Picton NSW Australia, and no I am not for convict stock (getting in early LOL). I have been involved with model railways, for many years, and while I mainly dabble in NSWGR HO, I also am involved with 7 mm NSWGR, and am currently developing a 7 mm kit of an old NSWGR Z20 Class Tank Locomotive (Bayer Peakcock) design that last ran the Camden line in NSW on the 1st January 1963, these will be available in late December this year, or early January 2018. Another of my main interests is in the design of HO scale prototype model laser cut NSW Silo kits, and have many types available as well a 7 mm silo kit available soon. I have been watching the British forums for many years and have been amazed at the level of detail and skill that is represented on these forum pages and many others. I hope I can contribute, as well as get more useful modeling information from these pages. Thank You.

Thanks for the welcome Mike, pictures I have heaps of, so that won't be a problem., look forward to providing you guys with plenty of model photos as well as 12 inches to the foot photos.

The following group are the boiler carcass of the Z20 loco I talked about earlier, it is a Shapeways Stong and Flexible model that was way too flexible, so I added a $2.00 part to stiffen it up which fits into the boiler and secures to the dome which is also a Shapeways polished brass dome, which is a little overkill as the Z20 never had a brass dome in its lifetime, it was just one of those things that I had to have a go at producing. The boiler will have an etched brass wrap, to fit around the carcass.
The yellow parts are from our 3D printer that will be masters for doors and windows for my silo kits. And there is also loco headlights on one of the photos. I hope this is the type of thing that the group likes.

Thanks, Rob, there is some beautiful modelling on that flicker page. You should be very proud of that level of work.
Rob I noticed a couple of pictures on your blog of the Gladiator B16-1 Cab details. I recently started putting a NSWGR 36 Class Steam loco together and the sight glass was made of pewter and I thought that the real ones are glass with brass top and bottom so I drew up the Z20 sight glass and had them 3D printed in clear plastic, along with headlight lenses.

The idea with the sight glasses was to paint the top and base and leave the centre clear, showing it up as it should be. The detail was not as good as I like as it was from my Samsung S8, but I think it tells the story pretty well.

Welcome to the forum Keiran. You will probably have noticed there are a number of your fellow countrymen here already.
Make yourself at home.

They look pretty good to me Keiran, 3D drawing is a skill that I intend to master myself at some point.
