Pattingham - micro

I have just been playing at setting out some of the structures (not yet completed) on my micro 0 gauge layout Pattingham. I have not been working on this for some time as my wife's health has and still is a concern. However given a short respite here for what its worth is a progress report.Pattingham1.jpg[/attachment:1npf21wr]Pattingham2.jpg[/attachment:1npf21wr]Pattingham3.jpg[/attachment:1npf21wr]Pattingham4.jpg[/attachment:1npf21wr]Pattingham5.jpg[/attachment:1npf21wr] All structures a scratch built- well you can tell warts and all and still need a lot of work.
The senic area 4 feet and has two fiddle yard sector plate boards ( not shown) 3'6" each.

I like the range of background structures, the colouring makes them look like they belong together but the variety of styles suggests piecemeal build over the years. I'd be very interested to see some photos with stock in place if that's possible.

A very interesting micro layout. Could we see a track plan
More info & trackplan on Mike's website here, but nice to see the progress Mike! I bet that's the only layout in the country with a canal over the railway... :p

That looks very effective, I especially like the station building on the platform and its placement on the layout

Great to see some more Black Country inspired stuff too

Work continues albeit slowly, I have started on the basic scenery with contours and sandstone outcrops etc. Anyway here are a few pics with stock on the layout.P1010044.JPG[/attachment:2fkml4t0]P1010045.JPG[/attachment:2fkml4t0]P1010046.JPG[/attachment:2fkml4t0]P1010047.JPG[/attachment:2fkml4t0]P1010048.JPG[/attachment:2fkml4t0]P1010049.JPG[/attachment:2fkml4t0]P1010050.JPG[/attachment:2fkml4t0]
You can see the scenic breaks to fiddle yards ; Aqueduct, Factory and South Staffs water main bridge.
Cheers
Makhis :)

Thank you, that's absolutely lovely. Very taken with the green saddle tank, Peckett?

In between hospital visits for my wife's ongoing cancer treatment I have made a start on the basic ground cover. I still need to fix the buildings in place and make a start on the detailing such as fencing, gates etc.etc., but at least it 's beginning to come together. Oh! any little white bits in the photos is wet glue :oops:P1010054.JPG[/attachment:1c3z5hut]P1010054.JPG[/attachment:1c3z5hut]P1010060.JPG[/attachment:1c3z5hut]P1010059.JPG[/attachment:1c3z5hut]P1010058.JPG[/attachment:1c3z5hut]P1010057.JPG[/attachment:1c3z5hut]P1010056.JPG[/attachment:1c3z5hut]P1010055.JPG[/attachment:1c3z5hut]

What a super piece of work, Makhis. That's coming together really well. I love the aquaduct and asccociated fencing & towpath. Will be a great little layout, and has given me plenty of food for thought on what I could do with my limited space   Keep it up!, and keep feeding us the progress...... really nice.

Excellent, Mike. Did you use your High-Tech custom-built Static Grass Applicator..?? :D ;)

Western Thunderer
Thanks Guys, yes Jordan the converted fly swat put the grass down, I have modified it though as it's now powered by an old phone charger, it's almost high tech. I am going to make an improved deluxe version and will post pictures soon.

Changes a foot, well 7mm ones. New station building, groundframe and propeller wash. The problem is only the operators can see the station ticket office frontage.
;D
