You're next in line for the processing ;)
Been having a bit of time off as planned which worked well with the weather - now back to the grind - not that yours will be, quite the opposite in fact!

It was a pleasure meeting Chris and have him snap my layout, you know he does wonders with his grandfathers box Brownie :)

Chris sent me some more pics and I have to say that I was not disappointed, the magazine readers should hopefully, also be happy ;)

With absolutely no disrespect whatsoever to your own photos, Phil, Chris's snap above really does have an indescribable 'extra special touch' to it....:bowdown::bowdown:
Of course he'll say he can only work with what's there in the first place  I just noticed in that shot the stonework on the bridge - level courses but on a rising curve  ..... that is craftsmanship modelling!!:bowdown::bowdown:

My brother who is also a modeller has had etched colliery drams made, they are accurate in scale, I gave him the measurements from a few that are in the country park in front of my house. They are typically the ones used in South Wales collieries. He will be ordering more soon so if anyone is interested please PM me. In the meantime, here's a picture of the originals and the etched model parts. I will post pictures as I put them together.

In the time when I worked in colleries, I never once saw chocks under the drums, probably because they were very heavy ?
