NCB area maintenance depot alongside or being taken over by plant hire contractors - the beginnings of Short Brothers perhaps?

I look forward to seeing whatever you do:)

Cracking bridge Phil, the third shot down does it for me, that bricked up arch and the grass around the base of the bridge is superb.

It's not that often that I see a layout these days that stops me in my tracks and offers a real 'wow' factor, but I've just 'rediscovered' this thread (having clicked a few 'likes' several months ago, seemingly...!).

The new stone bridge is superb work.

This is just an amazing layout, and one so full of Welsh atmosphere. Just looking through these 6 pages so far has given considerable pleasure - many thanks Phil!

I'm sorry, but this has been bugging me, as we're in the process of building and adding chimneys ourselves.

Have you not got one too many chimneys there? To my mind, the far right chimney is superfluous.

Hi Richard,

These houses are based on the ones in the street where I was brought up, each front room had a fire place, so the chimneys were shared. The end house would also have a chimney for that end room.

I like the staggered, uphill run to them. Not only gives them an individual look; it sets them apart from Kit or Ready to Plonk buildings that always assume the terrain is flat....

I think it will all come together when the paving and road are added, these will come tight to the door sills.

There's also lean-to buildings planned for the rear.
