No< I've not built a quick layout in my spare time, This one was built by a young friend Josh (Eastener on this forum, he's yet to post He's shy) who built with some input from me and another friend when he was only 15. It has been in Hornby mag and has had several exhibition outings with two to come in the next month, March and Norwich exhibitions.

Any way some pix

Very nice. Has quite a bit of atmosphere to it for a small layout. Tell him not to be shy as we don't bite  ;D

Thanks for posting the pictures Alan, you've done a cracking job, and thanks for all the comments about the layout.

I was 15 as said when I built that layout, however having turned 17 recently, little time has been left for modelling after learning to drive to drive and starting a full time job/Apprentice position working four days a week 8-5 and college the other day.

If you have any questions, or want to know anything specific about the layout fire away

I like the second picture down, the "through the trees" view - very nice!!

Girlfriend? Cars? Old enough to buy Beer soon?? Josh - you're on the slippery slope matey - you'd better post some more, quick- before you are completely distracted away from the hobby for several years...
...and by the time you return you'll have a mortgage, kids, call the Mrs "She Who Must Be Obeyed", and won't be able to either afford the models you want, or sneak them in past her.... :))

Learn from other's mistakes..... :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I agree with Jordan 100% on that statement, but hopefully it will stay in your blood like the rest of us. And that last picture of the 57xx at the coal staithes does it for me, you obviously have a talent and an eye for detail.

Really, really nice.... An again it's very good camera-work. Is this all taken in natural light because some of the shadow detail is really making these shots look good for me, Alan? - particularly like the last two.

Keep 'em coming!

Ian.
