Having looked again and again, I'll leave well alone for these connectors as they're fine for non-bow end roofs, but will file down the rear plate to fit below the roof.

Should be all okay.

Sadly yes, but too wrapped up to warrant going hunting for dimensions.

You've reminded me I do need to go down to Ongar to measure up the Pway crane.

I think we should be okay once I've 'adjusted' the rear plate.

As you've alluded to I would file down the rear plate to fit below the roof.....however before doing this....

.... I would be inclined to take a file to the roof end first to reduce the overhang to match the beading depth/height on the end of the coach if the photos above are anything to go by. This may resolve the issue :).

That's great JP.

Looking at some of those pictures, I'm wondering if my ECJS full brake should have a slight radius to the clerestory roof :headbang:

Hi JB,
What diagram is your full break? I have a copy of the NRM diagram book and can email you the relevant page.

Thanks for the offer Susie.

I wasn't going to put too much more effort into the corridor connectors. Comes a time when you just want to get stuff finished, and so...

I may still need to space out the buffers and couplings on the ECJS. This was a mistake of the kit, as it should have had some spacer material to make the buffer beam thicker. Will see how it goes after test running them on Love Lane at some point.

In other news, the D16 etch artwork is all complete. Had a little money come in so I can press go with PPD. Last final look at the artwork tonight and will give the RA in the morning.

Would be good if I can complete the build before Bristol show. Just need to find a suitable kit for a tender as I'm sure there will be one out there. No point reinventing the wheel at this juncture.

Precision Paints / DMR do an ex GER 3500 gallon tender as a separate kit. I don't know if that's the right one.

Thanks for the heads up Mike. All of your information has been invaluable.

With regard the buffers, it's only a cheap and cheerful Kirk build. I'll look into changing the buffers, but I'm more excited by the D16 at present..

Please do keep all the detail info coming though if you see somethings not quite right..
