Scruffs Junction is growing - more Exactoscale 7CH102 2-bolt chairs required

This topic originated in August 2018 when I needed some of these chairs to complete PW changes prior to the Autumn meeting of the S7 Group. Dave Summers came to my aid with a packet of 250 chairs so Scrufts did go to the Ball , sorry Show. Now that Peter and I are extending the layout to include a colliery screens and a representation of Tufts Junction the same problem has occurred again. Read on here .

After much gentle nagging Peter and I have agreed to take our Forest of Dean layout to the Autumn meeting of the S7 Group... Tickenham on 6th October. The layout is not finished, not even nearly not finished... lots to do and there is a significant gotcha on the folding table.

C&L Finescale announced at end of July that the Exactoscale brand and Exactoscale products had been taken back by the owner of Exactoscale. To that end there are no Exactoscale 7mm PW products shown on the C&L website and that is the gotcha... I have need of a small quantity of Exactscale GWR 2-bolt plain line chairs for 7mm track. You might be thinking that there is a GWR 2-bolt chair in the C&L range and you are correct, just that the products from C&L and from Exactoscale are different.

Exactoscale GWR 2-bolt chair has a rectangular base and is appropriate to the '00' rail section which was introduced circa 1900 (and that became BS95 at a later date).

C&L GWR 2-bolt chair has an "oval" base and is appropriate to the 85lb rail section which was introduced in the mid 1880s... and used also with the GWR concrete pots PW of the early 1940s.

I want to obtain about 50 chairs with left hand key and 50 chairs with right hand key. What can you do to help us?

regards, Graham

Expect a delivery said the man... so there I was, standing beside the A303, when a big white motor purrs to a halt and the near side window drops. A plain brown package appears through the opening and whoosh away goes the car. Maybe the driver of the staid, respectable, SUV following the white motor might have pondered on the dubious nature of what he had seen - as far as I know there is nothing illegal in trading Exactoscale products.

Thank you Dave, track repairs underway and Scruffs moves ever closer to the first showing.

Just to clarify, Graham; you're proposing that Exactoscale track components be considered a legal high?

I'm sure the dealing is legal. I still have some residual concern about the effects on the general population.

Indifference would seem most likely...:(

We are extending Scrufts Junction in two ways:-

* there is an extra 4' length of scenic section to the south of the station (see here);

* there is an extra 12' length to the north of the station which has a colliery screens as a visual shield for our interpretation of Tufts Junction (no, not a spelling mistake as such a location did grace the railway map of the Forest of Dean).

Even with the help of Dave in 2018 (as above) we are short of around 200 Exactoscale GWR 2 bolt chairs (see topic subject line for product code) so an unused bag of 250 chairs shall be much appreciated. Yes, I am aware that such chairs are available from the S7 Group Stores... I am asking here first in case any WT-er feels the need to dispose of such chairs.

thank you and regards, Graham
