Simulating chair marks on sleepers

As requested here are a few photos I took a while back of a sleeper wall.

Sleepers made from limewood and painted and weathered by hand with thinned acrylics.

Chair base burning tool
A bit of brass with two pips formed with a rivet tool, then bent over. The strip is narrowed to limit heat loss. Burning is done with a soldering iron at 350c.
Note a much more sophisticated 4 bolt version is now available from Off the Rails

Magic - the initial two photos had me thinking that you were showing us some photos of a prototype sleeper wall at the end of your garden... such tactics are frowned upon by Jordan.

Coffee stirrers are my usual first point of call but IIRC these are actually limewood strip from www.twigfolly.com
