Sleepers made from limewood and painted and weathered by hand with thinned acrylics.

Chair base burning tool
A bit of brass with two pips formed with a rivet tool, then bent over. The strip is narrowed to limit heat loss. Burning is done with a soldering iron at 350c.
Note a much more sophisticated 4 bolt version is now available from Off the Rails

Magic - the initial two photos had me thinking that you were showing us some photos of a prototype sleeper wall at the end of your garden... such tactics are frowned upon by Jordan.
