The italian job

Hi Antonio, nice work! I wonder if you could help me, an Italian brass kit producer used to do an etched brass kit of the FS E402A electric locomotive. In the past I never bought one as the Rivarossi and ACME RTR E402A models are superbly done but now I'd like to do the kit as a project. However I've forgotten the name of the producer and am struggling to find it on-line, do you know who it was please? Apologies for asking, regards,

John

Could that be (assuming you're talking HO) be Linea Model?

Benvenuti in lineamodel.it

They certainly produce one - the way their site works means I can't link direct, however.

No problem - I have one of their ballast hoppers in the 'to do' pile which looks a very decent kit and like the look of their 'Truman' (charmingly ugly though it is!). If I can locate it again, I'll have to make a start on it.

They made a few kits to improve existing RTR models which were nicely done and the E402A always seemed like quite a challenging but well produced kit. The price is pretty reasonable and I fancy having a go. As good as the Rivarossi and ACME models are (I'm under no illusion that my efforts will beat their finish) it is nice to be constructive and make something.

For Euro-kits - French products often seem incredibly pricey for example - I think they're exceptional value. The instructions are very good, too, I'll have to see what the part fit is like.
