  a stunning piece of art. I hope someone is cracking on with some castings for it.

After a little due diligence I have found evidence of a B1 at Gloucester
Repairs to 'Foreign' Engines at Gloucester Barnwood - Gloucestershire Railway Memories

So I think my plans for a Midland region shed can justify a B1 - I'd better start saving!
I was at school in Gloucester in late 1965 (before Horton Road lost its steam allocation) when the cry went round the playground that there was a B1 on shed. They were rare by then but certainly not uncommon before.

Is it getting round to B1 re-emergence time

Bob
It is, whilst it's quiet on here, things have been going on in the background. The Beta model served it's purpose and now it's nearly time to send the Alpha model off to the etchers with all the amendments. In conjunction with the metal work are some 3D patterns to test fit before passing on to the technical dept for casting.

Nothing much will happen here until I'm back from holiday in mid May though I'm afraid.

Try that, I could see them as well but they were linked from elsewhere and Brian could see them there as well, but it's not a public place.

Wasn't intentional, just CCU making a passing visit!

Fantastic stuff Mick. I love the exhaust injector pipe run and have never seen the reversing clutch modelled before

Very nice Mick, and what t'other Mick said about reversing clutch.

On another note I was going to ask about the shape of the slide bar brackets as I need to cut some new ones for the DMR B2. They're very similar so thanks for the pictures..

Final throw of the dice on the Finney7 B1 Beta build, everything fits where it should and the corrections have all been made to the artwork.

Once the lock down lifts the Alpha model will ordered and once delivered will be progressed. The build will also be used to populate the instructions with photos, and then, hopefully start to gear up for production.

The right side is pretty much like the left, just one or two parts missing (turbo generator is an addition, standard stock generator casting will be used) so no need to progress that as much as the left side.

The valve gear will come in the Alpha model, I do not envisage any dramas there, standard laminated Walschaerts monkey see monkey do stuff.

With all that now out of the way for the foreseeable future it's finally time for 'me' time and that means GEVO time, I may (will?) be gone some time :p.
