4mm Upwell Drove

At home, Upwell Drove is connected to its parent layouit, Diddington, by a joining section called Elm Lane. We've been doing some building work in the room where the railway lives recently, installing a fitted cupboard. The new cupboard meant less room for Elm Lane, so it's been shortened. Now everything has been reconnected, through running is reinstated between the two stations. Here are some pictures of a journey down the line:
In Diddington yard, J70 68222 leaves the loco loop to run round a train of wagons to be taken to Upwell Drove. The Diddington station pilot, a J15, can be seen in the loco run round, waiting to go and take on water.

Leaving Diddington station, the J70 passes over the level crossing by the end of the main station platforms.

After leaving the station, the line runs alongside Elm Lane.

They are DGs. They can be uncoupled magnetically using electromagnets, but I am currently doing it manually with a barbecue skewer. Coupling up is automatic.

Thank you. I’ve used the bamboo skewer method a lot with Kadees in the past, I like the manual intervention as it slows the process down, my eyes just aren’t good enough to couple three links in 4mm any more.
